Twenty-three years of more out of steel

Rohit Steels was founded in Rohtak in 2003 to give cold forgers and component makers one dependable source for CHQ wire. Over two decades the plant has grown line by line — pickling, spheroidized annealing, seven automated drawing machines — and in 2020 a second unit was added so the same customers could buy bright, ground and peeled bars from the supplier they already trusted.

2003Unit-I commissioned at HSIIDC, Hisar Road — CHQ wire drawing begins.
2003 – 2019Pickling & phosphating line, 30 T and 7 T bell furnaces and seven drawing machines take Unit-I to 4,000 MT / month.
2020Unit-II at IMT Rohtak opens for bright, ground and peeled bars — 1,500 MT / month.
Today5,500 MT / month across both units, ISO 9001:2015, serving 200+ customers in automotive, tractor, fastener and general engineering.

CHQ wires & bright bars

CHQ Wires

Cold heading quality wire in every grade you forge — pickled, phosphated, spheroidize-annealed and drawn to your exact size — so it feeds your headers without die wear, cracking or surprises.

Bright, Ground & Peeled Bars

Round, hex, square and profile bars that arrive straight, clean and within tolerance — ground or polished where your parts need it, MPI-checked so hidden defects never reach your machines.

Unit-I · Facility 01

Pickling & phosphating line · 4,500 MT/month

Before your wire is drawn, every coil is acid-pickled to strip mill scale, jet-washed clean and phosphated. The result is a surface that draws smoothly, takes lubricant evenly and protects your cold-forging dies — so you see longer die life and fewer surface rejects on your parts.

Nine stages run as one continuous coil line, with D.M. water rinsing before lube coating so no acid or salts are carried into your process.

30-ton furnace

900 MT/month
  • Your large orders are annealed in one batch, so every coil in the lot has the same structure and hardness.
  • 3 bases and 2 bells, run by expert supervisors with real-time SCADA tracking of every annealing cycle.
  • Wire sizes 3.50 mm – 36 mm, all grades.

7-ton bell-type furnace

800 MT/month
  • Small and urgent lots get their own cycle — no waiting for a big batch to fill.
  • 8 bases and 6 bells handled by a team of experts with SCADA monitoring for quality control.
  • Wire sizes 2.30 mm – 30 mm, all grades.

Wire drawing on seven automated machines

  • Any size from 2 to 40 mm, on the machine best suited to it — 4,000 MT/month of capacity behind your schedule.
  • Finished coils wait in a marked FG stock area, then are packed and wrapped to your specification.
  • Delivered by Rohit Steels' own logistics, or by a transporter supervised by Rohit Steels, so it arrives on time and undamaged.

Unit-II · Bar plant

Bright bars for component manufacturing industries

Unit-II was set up in 2020 so customers who already buy CHQ wire from us could source bright, ground and peeled bars from the same supplier — automotive, tractor, fastener, hydraulic and general engineering shops alike. Sizes and finishes follow what your parts need, not a fixed catalogue.

Current output vs. installed capacity1,200 / 1,500 MT per month

Customised size ranges on demand — 300 MT/month of headroom is available for your new programmes.

Combined drawing lines with automatic shot blasting

  • 3 combined drawing lines with automatic shot blasting give you a clean, bright finish in sizes 3 – 28 mm.
  • 3 draw benches cover 22 – 60 mm, with band saws and straighteners for cut lengths to your drawing.
  • A chamfering machine, added at customers' request, delivers bars ready to load in your machines.

Grinding, polishing & material handling

Centerless through-feed grinding

Finishing

  • The bar is fed lengthwise between a fast grinding wheel and a slow regulating wheel — 3 centerless grinders leave a smooth, defect-free surface.
  • Polishing gives the finish your components show on the outside, straight from the bar.
Cantilever racks · EOT crane handling

Material handling

  • Your material is stored on marked cantilever racks under 5S discipline — no mix-ups between grades or customers.
  • Loading and unloading by EOT cranes, so bars are never dragged or dented on the way to your truck.
Unit-II · Sustainability

Powered by the sun · 500 kW rooftop solar

A 500 kW rooftop solar plant on Unit-II supplies clean power to the bar plant during the day, so a growing share of every bar you buy is made with energy generated on our own roof.

Generation and CO₂ figures are indicative, based on typical Haryana solar yield (≈1,400 kWh per kW per year) and India's grid emission factor.

  • Lower and more predictable energy cost per tonne — protection against grid tariff increases.
  • Supports customers' own Scope 3 and supplier-sustainability reporting.

Quality

In-house laboratory & testing equipment

Every lot you receive has been checked in our own lab at each stage — chemistry, hardness, microstructure and dimensions — and full-length MPI inspection catches sub-surface defects before a bar reaches your machines. Test certificates travel with the material.

How we work with a new customer

From first enquiry to regular supply

Enquiry

Share your drawing, grade, size and monthly volume. We confirm feasibility and the route — wire or bar, condition and finish — usually the same day.

Sample & trial lot

A trial quantity with full test certificate, so your line can prove it out before any commitment.

Approval

PPAP / ISIR documentation, chemistry and mechanicals matched to your specification, colour code assigned to your grade.

Regular supply

Scheduled dispatches on our own logistics, traceable lot by lot, with MTC and packing list on every consignment.

Feedback & improvement

Complaint handling with 8D within days; die-life and rejection data reviewed with you to keep improving the material.

WITH EVERY LOT

Test certificate & packing list

Chemistry, mechanicals and heat number travel with the material, so your incoming inspection is a check, not a hunt.

ALWAYS

Colour-coded, traceable material

Your grade keeps its own colour code from our coil yard to your store — no mix-ups, full traceability back to the mill.

ONE CONTACT

Wire and bars from one supplier

One commercial contact, one quality team and one logistics fleet across both units, whatever mix of wire and bar you buy.
